The first CD features Jost's contemporary adaptation, performed by tenor Peter Lodahl with the Horenstein Ensemble under Jost's direction. The second CD offers a rare recording of the original cycle by mezzo-soprano Stella Doufexis, Jost's late wife, providing a fresh perspective on the work.
