Eduard Štorch – Osada Havranů (1x Audio na CD - MP3) (CD)

A beautifully written adventure story brings to life the idea of what our ancestors’ lives were like in prehistory. The plot takes place by the Kunratice Stream in the area of present-day Prague and describes the constant struggle for survival, resistance to danger, and the effort to live in harmony with nature itself. The main hero, a boy named Havranpírko, is brought to a new home by a swollen river among members of the Raven clan. How hard was it to endure a cruel winter, how were traitors dealt with, how did the individual clans fight with nature and among themselves, what is the yellow magic, and how did Havranpírko become the man Sharp Raven? You will learn all this in a classic work of Czech literature on which generations of readers grew up. The book also received a successful film adaptation with Jiří Bartoška in one of the leading roles. Recording length: 4 hours 20 minutes.
