Gerry Mulligan – NIGHT LIGHTS (Vinyl)

"Night Lights" is a masterpiece of cool jazz by the legendary saxophonist Gerry Mulligan, originally released in 1963. This album captures the sophisticated atmosphere of nighttime New York in the 1960s, with Mulligan and his sextet blending slow jazz noir tones with Brazilian rhythms. The interplay between Mulligan and guitarist Jim Hall is especially exceptional. The title track "Night Lights" is smooth and intimate, while "Morning Of The Carnival" brings Latin influences at their best. This reissue is presented in a luxurious gatefold sleeve, giving the album an elegant look.
