Herbie Hancock – Speak Like a Child (Vinyl)

Herbie Hancock's 1968 album "Speak Like a Child" is a masterpiece of jazz piano virtuosity and composition. This album, released as a reissue on April 19, 2024, is presented in an elegant gatefold sleeve. Here, Hancock expands his sonic spectrum by adding an unconventional horn section that includes flugelhorn, bass trombone, and alto flute, creating rich, layered arrangements. The album is known for its simple yet memorable melodies that move between post-bop and rock, while preserving space for improvisation. Hancock's lyrical piano playing and compositions are beautiful on the surface and, on deeper listening, provocative and demanding. This 180g vinyl reissue is a must-have for every jazz lover.
