Released in 1986, Somewhere In Time is Iron Maiden's sixth album and the first on which the band let guitar and bass synthesisers speak. None of the speed was lost – Caught Somewhere In Time, Heaven Can Wait, Stranger In A Strange Land and Wasted Years are still songs the band plays live, and the eight-minute Alexander The Great is among the most ambitious pieces in its repertoire. Derek Riggs' sleeve, with Eddie in a neon city, is an icon in its own right. For the 40th anniversary, a limited edition on oxblood coloured vinyl carrying the 2015 remaster arrives on 4 December 2026.
