John Cale – HELEN OF TROY (Vinyl)

Released in December 2024, "Helen of Troy" is John Cale’s third and final studio album for Island Records. Recorded quickly between the production of Patti Smith’s "Horses" and an Italian tour, this album is a raw and compelling listen. From the title track with brass and spoken word, through the acoustic guitar and piano on "Cable Hogue", to the punk cover version of The Modern Lovers’ "Pablo Picasso", the album showcases Cale’s ability to shock and surprise.
