Jon Allen – Seven Dials (CD)

Jon Allen, known for his soulful voice and meticulously crafted songs, presents his seventh album 'Seven Dials', released on May 2, 2025. This album offers a raw and compelling look into the dark corners of London’s Covent Garden in the 18th century. Allen delves into the heart of a time when the streets brimmed with vice and debauchery, painting a vivid picture of the struggle, sin, and survival that defined this notorious district. Inspired by the bleak atmosphere and gritty underworld stories of Covent Garden, 'Seven Dials' brings history to life through a modern musical lens, inviting listeners into a world where poverty and desperation bred crime and morality was blurred by necessity. The album title references the historic crossroads in the area, a meeting place for society’s outcasts, where life and lawlessness intertwined.
