The Kinks – Misfits (CD)

“Misfits” is the seventeenth studio album by the legendary British rock band The Kinks, originally released in May 1978. Recorded at their own KONK studio in London, the album marks a shift toward a more mainstream rock sound that the band had already begun pursuing on the previous album “Sleepwalker”. Songs such as “Misfits”, “Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy”, “Live Life”, and “In a Foreign Land” explore themes of alienation, resilience, and everyday struggles, while critics praised the introspective and often moving lyrics, considering them among the most reflective and personal in the band’s catalog. Newly remastered from the original ¼” tapes, this album is available on 180-gram red vinyl, offering fans a unique listening experience.
