Wayne Shorter – Odyssey of Iska (Vinyl)

Wayne Shorter, legendary saxophonist, presents the album "Odyssey of Iska", which was recorded in August 1970 and released on July 5, 2024. This album, dedicated to his daughter Iska, is the last from his early period on the Blue Note label. It contains four original compositions that capture different moods: "Wind", "Storm", "Calm" and "Joy". The highlight of the album is an extended version of Bobby Thomas's track "De Pois do Amor, o Vazio", which suggests Shorter's growing interest in Brazilian music. This 180g vinyl is part of the Blue Note Tone Poet series, was remastered from the original analog tapes, and is packaged in a deluxe sleeve.
