Boney M. is a German music group formed in 1974 by producer Frank Farian. The original lineup consisted of Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett from Jamaica, Maizie Williams from Montserrat, and Bobby Farrell from Aruba. The group is known for hits like "Daddy Cool," "Ma Baker," "Rivers of Babylon," and "Rasputin." Their music blends elements of pop, disco, funk, and reggae. Throughout their career, they sold over 80 million records. In the 1980s, the group disbanded, but various lineups continued to perform. In 2024, producer Frank Farian passed away.
