Cyril Huvé

Cyril Huvé is a French classical pianist born in Paris in 1954. He was a student of Claudio Arrau and György Cziffra, which influenced his interest in historically informed performance. Huvé specializes in playing 19th-century historical pianos, allowing him to explore the authentic sound possibilities of Romantic music. His notable recordings include "Chopin: Scherzi & Ballades" and "Beethoven: The Complete Pianoforte & Violin Sonatas." In 2010, he received the Victoire de la musique award for his recording of Mendelssohn's piano works on an 1840 Broadwood piano.
