Fanfare Ciocărlia

Fanfare Ciocărlia is a twelve-member Romani brass band from the village of Zece Prăjini in northeastern Romania. They are renowned for their fast, energetic music featuring complex rhythms and rapid staccato solos on clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet. Their repertoire includes traditional Romanian, Romani, and Eastern European folk pieces, as well as arrangements of Western songs such as "Born to Be Wild" and the "James Bond Theme". The band performed at the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, and their music was featured on the soundtrack of the 2020 film "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm".
