Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury was a British singer and songwriter, known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Queen. Born in Zanzibar, he later moved to England, where in 1970 he co-founded Queen with Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. Mercury penned several of the band's hits, including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Killer Queen," and "We Are the Champions." His musical style encompassed various genres, such as rock, pop, and opera. He collaborated with opera singer Montserrat Caballé on the album "Barcelona." Queen were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
