Guided by Voices

Guided by Voices is an American indie rock band formed in 1983 in Dayton, Ohio. They are known for their lo-fi sound and frequent lineup changes, with frontman Robert Pollard leading the band. Notable albums include "Bee Thousand" (1994) and "Alien Lanes" (1995), which have become cult classics in alternative music. The band is acclaimed for its prolific discography with dozens of albums. Their work influenced many other bands, including Pavement and Sebadoh. In 2004, the group announced a hiatus, but since 2010, they have been releasing new material and continue to tour.
