Mario Lanza

Mario Lanza was an American tenor and actor, born in 1921 in Philadelphia. He began his career in local operatic productions and later signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. His 1951 film "The Great Caruso" was commercially successful, and his recording of "Be My Love" became a hit. Lanza was known for his powerful voice and charismatic performance.
