Mastodon

Mastodon is an American metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2000. The original lineup consisted of Troy Sanders (bass, vocals), Brent Hinds (lead guitar, vocals), Bill Kelliher (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Brann Dailor (drums, vocals). Hinds departed the band in March 2025. Mastodon has released eight studio albums, including "Remission" (2002), "Leviathan" (2004), and "Hushed and Grim" (2021). Their music blends elements of progressive metal, sludge metal, and stoner metal. The band won a Grammy Award for "Sultan's Curse" in the Best Metal Performance category in 2018.
