Metallica

Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1981 by James Hetfield (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Lars Ulrich (drums). The current lineup includes Kirk Hammett (lead guitar) and Robert Trujillo (bass guitar). Notable albums include "Master of Puppets" (1986), "Metallica" (1991), and "Death Magnetic" (2008). The band has won nine Grammy Awards, including seven for Best Metal Performance. In 2009, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Metallica is considered one of the "big four" of thrash metal alongside Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
