Oscar Pettiford

Oscar Pettiford was an American jazz double bassist and composer, born in 1922 in Oklahoma. He was a pioneer of bebop and collaborated with notable musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, and Duke Ellington. His significant albums include "Another One" (1955) and "My Little Cello" (1960). Pettiford was known for his innovative approach to the double bass and cello, influencing many future jazz musicians.
