Public Enemy

Public Enemy is an American hip-hop group formed in 1985 in Roosevelt, New York, by Chuck D and Flavor Flav. The group is known for its politically charged lyrics and innovative sound. Notable albums include "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" (1988), "Fear of a Black Planet" (1990), and "Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black" (1991). Their song "Fight the Power" (1989) became iconic in hip-hop culture. Public Enemy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
