Ramones

The Ramones were an American punk band formed in 1974 in New York City. The original lineup consisted of Joey Ramone (vocals), Johnny Ramone (guitar), Dee Dee Ramone (bass), and Tommy Ramone (drums). Their 1976 debut album, "Ramones," includes tracks like "Blitzkrieg Bop" and "I Wanna Be Sedated." Known for their fast, simple songs and energetic performances, the band gained significant popularity abroad despite limited commercial success in the U.S. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
