Raymond Burke

Raymond Burke was an American clarinetist known for his unique style in traditional New Orleans jazz. Between 1958 and 1960, he recorded a series of tracks released on the album "The Southland Recordings 1958-1960." This album features 14 tracks, 10 of which were previously unreleased. Burke collaborated with musicians such as Thomas Jefferson, Bob Havens, and Armand Hug. The recordings took place in studios like Cosimo Matassa's Recording Studio and Dan's Pier 500 in New Orleans. Burke's contribution to the jazz scene is significant, with his recordings still valued today for their authenticity and quality.
