Richard Temple

Richard Temple was an American soul singer best known for his 1966 single "That Beatin' Rhythm," released on Mirwood Records. This track became an emblem of the Northern Soul scene and is considered one of its most significant songs. Temple, who also recorded under the name Jimmy Conwell, contributed to the soul and funk genres in the 1960s. His music remains an important part of Northern Soul history.
