Ron Carter

Ron Carter is an American jazz double bassist, born in 1937 in Ferndale, Michigan. He is recognized as the most-recorded jazz bassist in history, with over 2,200 recordings. Carter was a member of Miles Davis's "Second Great Quintet" from 1963 to 1968. His notable albums include "Where?" (1961), "Uptown Conversation" (1969), "Blues Farm" (1973), and "All Blues" (1973). He has won three Grammy Awards and collaborated with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and McCoy Tyner. His musical style encompasses hard bop and post bop.
