Rudolf Buchbinder

Rudolf Buchbinder is an Austrian pianist renowned for his interpretations of Ludwig van Beethoven's works. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Music and in 1966 received a special prize at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with major orchestras and conductors worldwide. His discography includes the complete Beethoven piano sonatas, all Mozart piano concertos, and the complete piano works of Haydn. Since 2007, he has served as the artistic director of the Grafenegg Festival. He is an honorary member of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
