Sentenced

Sentenced was a Finnish metal band formed in 1989 in the town of Muhos. Their debut album, "Shadows of the Past," released in 1991, showcased their death metal style. In 1993, they released "North from Here," marking their transition to melodic death metal. The 1995 album "Amok" further evolved their sound towards heavy metal and gothic metal. The band disbanded in 2005 following the release of "The Funeral Album." Their music has influenced many bands in the melodic death metal genre.
