Slayer

Slayer is an American thrash metal band formed in 1981 in Huntington Park, California, by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King, drummer Dave Lombardo, and bassist/vocalist Tom Araya. They are considered one of the "big four" thrash metal bands alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. Their discography includes 12 studio albums, such as "Reign in Blood" (1986) and "Repentless" (2015). After disbanding in 2019, the band reunited in 2024 for several performances. Slayer has won two Grammy Awards for the songs "Eyes of the Insane" (2007) and "Final Six" (2008).
