The Artwoods

The Artwoods were a British R&B and blues group active in the 1960s. Formed in 1964 in London, the band comprised vocalist Art Wood, keyboardist Jon Lord, guitarist Derek Griffiths, bassist Malcolm Pool, and drummer Keef Hartley. They released several singles and the album "Art Gallery" in 1966, featuring tracks like "I Take What I Want" and "I Feel Good". Despite critical acclaim, they did not achieve commercial success and disbanded in 1967. Jon Lord later co-founded Deep Purple, while Keef Hartley formed his own band.
