The Chicks

The Chicks, formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, are an American country band from Dallas, Texas. The group consists of Natalie Maines (lead vocals, guitar, bass guitar) and sisters Martie Maguire (vocals, fiddle, mandolin, guitar) and Emily Strayer (vocals, guitar, banjo, Dobro). Founded in 1989, they gained widespread recognition with albums like "Wide Open Spaces" (1998) and "Fly" (1999), both certified diamond. Their discography includes eight studio albums and 27 singles, six of which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
