The Cramps

The Cramps were an American rock band formed in 1976 in New York City. The founding and constant members were vocalist Lux Interior and guitarist Poison Ivy. The band is recognized as a pioneer of the psychobilly genre, blending elements of punk rock and rockabilly. Their debut album, "Songs the Lord Taught Us," was released in 1980. Other notable albums include "Psychedelic Jungle" (1981) and "Stay Sick!" (1990). The Cramps remained active until 2009, when Lux Interior passed away.
