The Cult

The Cult is an English rock band formed in 1983 in Bradford. Initially known as Southern Death Cult, the band later changed its name to The Cult. The core members are vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy. Their musical style encompasses hard rock, gothic rock, and post-punk. Notable albums include "Love" (1985) featuring the hit "She Sells Sanctuary" and "Electric" (1987). The band collaborated with producer Rick Rubin on the "Electric" album.
