The Groundhogs

The Groundhogs were an English blues and rock band formed in London in 1963. Initially, they served as a backing band for John Lee Hooker, with whom they recorded the album "...And Seven Nights". Their most successful albums include "Thank Christ for the Bomb" (1970), "Split" (1971), and "Who Will Save the World? The Mighty Groundhogs" (1972), all of which reached the Top 10 of the UK Albums Chart. The band was known for transitioning from traditional blues to progressive rock and incorporating psychedelic influences.
