The King's Consort

The King's Consort is a British period instrument ensemble and choir founded in 1980 by conductor and harpsichordist Robert King. Specializing in Baroque and early Classical music, the ensemble has released over 100 recordings, earning international awards and selling more than 1.5 million copies. Their repertoire includes works by composers such as Handel, Purcell, Vivaldi, and Bach. The King's Consort has performed at significant events, including seven appearances at the BBC Proms, and has toured prestigious venues worldwide. The ensemble is renowned for its authentic interpretations and contributions to the revival of historical music.
