Weaves

Weaves is a Canadian indie pop band from Toronto, consisting of vocalist Jasmyn Burke, guitarist Morgan Waters, bassist Zach Bines, and drummer Spencer Cole. The band formed in 2012 when Burke and Waters met at a bar and began collaborating on demo recordings. In 2013, Bines and Cole joined the lineup. Their debut EP, "Weaves," was released in 2014, followed by their self-titled debut album in 2016, which was nominated for the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year. Their second album, "Wide Open," was released in 2017 and was a finalist for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize. Weaves' music blends elements of indie rock, indie pop, and art pop.
