Iggy Pop, born James Newell Osterberg Jr., is an American singer and songwriter best known as the frontman of The Stooges, a band he formed in 1967. The Stooges are considered pioneers of punk rock. After the band's dissolution in 1974, Pop embarked on a solo career, releasing the albums "The Idiot" and "Lust for Life" in 1977, both produced in collaboration with David Bowie. His notable songs include "Lust for Life," "The Passenger," and "Real Wild Child (Wild One)." In 2010, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Stooges, and in 2020, he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
