Mos Def

Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, is an American rapper and actor. In 1996, he formed the duo Black Star with Talib Kweli, releasing their debut album "Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star" in 1998. As a solo artist, he released albums including "Black on Both Sides" (1999), "The New Danger" (2004), "True Magic" (2006), and "The Ecstatic" (2009). His music focuses on East Coast hip-hop and alternative hip-hop. Bey has collaborated with artists such as Kanye West and The Roots. Beyond music, he has appeared in films like "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "16 Blocks".
